Any library is only as good as the information it contains and the extent to which it meets the needs of its users.

Those needs change as careers, education, the labour market and technology all move with the times. It is therefore a good idea to stock-check your library regularly (see sample of stock monitoring form in 'Downloads' section).

Regular checks also give you the chance to throw away any old and out-of-date materials. Many libraries become clogged with resources that have been superseded by newer materials.
